Clynymona Rosa Bella of Shiarita

My first ever Bolognese, a sweet little girl from Liz Stannard, and a very special gift to me from my late husband Phil.
Rosa won her first CACIB in 2004 aged 13, she retired from the show ring in 2005 after winning all her veteran breed classes for the last few years and a long and happy show career. She was dearly loved by the family and respected by all the other 4 legged friends in the house. She has a very special place in our hearts.

"ROSA"

All those winning ribbons and all the bright red bows
Could never mean as much to me as darling little "Rose"
The Rainbow Bridge has beckoned that leads to heavens gate
The time has come to say goodbye, it really can not wait
A very special gift to me from Phil on Christmas Day
You gave me so much joy and love, and now you slip away
The 31st March 06 was a very beautiful day
Spring was in the air and the sun shone bright
But just as you gave your last breath away
The heavens started to cry and day turned to night

Treasured Friend

I lost a treasured friend today
The little dog who used to lay
Her gentle head upon my knee
And share her silent thoughts with me...
She'll come no longer to my call
Retrieve no more her favorite ball
A voice far greater than my own
Has called her to his golden throne.
Although my eyes are filled with tears,
I thank you for the happy years
That you let her spend with me
And for her love and loyalty.
When it is time for us to go
And join her there, this much I know...
We shall not fear the transient dark
For she will greet us with her bark.

Rainbow Bridge

There is a bridge connecting heaven and earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadow, hills and valleys with lush green grass.

When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other.

There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on earth. So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up! The eyes are staring! And this one suddenly runs from the group!

You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again and again, and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.

After Death

Farewell, Master, yet not farewell.

Where I go, ye, too, shall dwell.

I am gone, before your face,

A moments time, a little space.

When ye come where I have stepped...

Ye will wonder why ye wept.
